An excellent improvement on the first Pokémon games!
Pokémon Yellow is the successor to the games Pokémon Blue and Pokémon Red. In this game, you aim to become the best Pokémon trainer in the entire Kanto region. To achieve this, you must duel with 8 gym leaders to earn their badge, which allows you to challenge the Elite 4. If you can defeat them, you can challenge the champion.

The game doesn't have too many differences compared to those games. The biggest change is that in this game, you receive Pikachu as your starter Pokémon! This is because after the Pokémon series aired on television, many people wanted Pikachu as their starter. Besides this major change, there are a significant number of areas with improved sprites compared to Pokémon Blue/Red. Additionally, many bugs that occurred in Pokémon Blue/Red have been fixed. Lastly, the storyline has been slightly adjusted, although it doesn't differ too much. Furthermore, the levels of the Pokémon trainers in the game have been slightly lowered, making the game somewhat easier.

All in all, this game is a great recommendation if you enjoy the Pokémon games and the Pokémon television series!

Pokémon Yellow is the Pokémon game for a fan of the original show.
In Pokémon Yellow you play as Ash Ketchum. You receive a Pokémon from Professor Oak that you can't choose this time, as you always get Pikachu. After that, you play pretty much the same game as Pokémon Red and Blue.
However, there are some differences, such as Brock and Misty looking more like they do in the show (TV series), you can obtain all the original starter Pokémon, and Pikachu follows you around when he's in your party, something that only returned in Pokémon Soulsilver and Heartgold.
For every Pokémon fan who loves the original show and has a Gameboy or Gameboy Color, this is definitely a must-have.

A must-have for every Pokémon fan.
'Pokémon: Yellow Version' is a mix between 'Pokémon Red/Blue Version' and the original anime. The game remains appealing to those who have played one or both of the first Pokémon games, as the storyline differs slightly. Additionally, there are some small gameplay elements added.

In addition to these changes, the graphics have been improved, with more vibrant colors and generally nicer sprites. Bug fixes have also been implemented compared to its predecessor.

SPOILER WARNING!
Want to be surprised by the game? Then don't read on!
The first and most noticeable change in gameplay is that you only receive one starter in this game. The fun part is that you can acquire the other 3 original starters later in the game, and Pikachu follows you around during gameplay. You can also interact with Pikachu by talking to it, a feature that is only found in Heart Gold/Soul Silver.

Furthermore, Pikachu doesn't have the 8-bit sounding "cry" like in the original games (up to Black2/White2) but rather one resembling the original anime (similar to the sound in X/Y and Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire).

For fans of the anime, there are also elements added to the game, such as the 2 Team Rocket members 'Jesse' and 'James' with their talking Pokémon 'Meowth'.

The game is somewhat outdated now, but as mentioned above, it still offers some aspects that are not present in the newer 'Leaf Green/Fire Red' versions.

Your version of the TV series
This is a very fun Pokémon game based on the adventures of Ash Ketchum, the Pokémon Trainer from the TV series. The game itself is quite similar to Pokémon Red and Pokémon Blue, but in this game, you start with Pikachu and can decide for yourself whether you want to evolve it into a Raichu. Pokémon Yellow Version is a very enjoyable game for anyone who has played Pokémon Firered or Pokémon Leafgreen before, otherwise I would start with those.

A must-have for every Pokémon fan
Pokémon Yellow is a true must-have if you're a Pokémon fan! I've had the game for a few months now and it's highly recommended. The game is in black and white with fuzzy colors, so if you're not a fan of black and white games, this game may not be for you. It really brings back the nostalgia of the past and is definitely worth checking out!

Great game for Pikachu fans
Pokémon Yellow Version might just be the most enjoyable Pokémon game ever. In Pokémon Yellow Version, you play as Ash Ketchum and your starter Pokémon is (you guessed it) Pikachu! Pikachu follows you around in this game. Many people were disappointed that they couldn't choose Pikachu as their starter in the first Pokémon games (Blue and Red). This game made a lot of people's dreams come true. For me, this is the most fun Pokémon game to play.

Fun game for fans of the TV series
Quite an iconic game. What particularly appeals to me about this game compared to Pokémon Red and Blue is that this game leans more towards the TV series. You truly play as Ash Ketchum and Pikachu follows you around. Additionally, the iconic characters Jessie and James make a comeback in this game as rather high-ranking Team Rocket bosses. If you're a fan of the older series of this show, Pokémon Yellow is definitely a recommendation over the original Pokémon Red or Blue.

The enhanced version of Pokémon Red and Pokémon Blue. This time, you start with the Pokémon mascot: Pikachu. Additionally, you can obtain all the beloved starters of this region. If you want to play with Charizard, Blastoise, and Venusaur, you can! Pokémon Yellow is definitely the best game of the generation 1 series!

Very nice sequel to Pokémon Blue and Red.
Pokémon Yellow is a sort of continuation of Pokémon Red and Blue. It offers a fresh experience compared to those games, with new features and enhancements that make the game even more enjoyable. The world of Pokémon remains as enticing as ever, and the many challenges and adventures will keep you entertained for hours. Some new characters include Jesse and James from Team Rocket in the Anime. Your starter Pokémon is Pikachu, just like Ash in the Anime.

Charmander can be obtained by walking up from Cerulean City, across Nugget Bridge (with the 5 people you have to defeat) and then all the way to the top left. Talk to the boy standing next to Charmander here.

Squirtle can be obtained in Vermilion City (at the third gym). After defeating the gym leader, talk to Officer Jenny who is standing in the middle of the city.

Some people know that it's impossible to catch Mew in Pokémon Yellow, but there is a glitch you can use to add this legendary Pokémon to your Pokédex.

1. Heal your Pokémon at the Cerulean City Pokémon Center.
2. Defeat the trainers on Nugget Bridge.
3. Do not battle the trainer in the grass field to the left of Nugget Bridge, across the water, but safely walk past him without making eye contact.
4. However, in this grass field, you must find and catch an Abra in the tall grass.
5. Make sure to save your game.
6. Use Abra to teleport to your last visited Pokémon Center.
7. From the Pokémon Center, return to Nugget Bridge, but this time, after crossing the bridge, go to the right.
8. You should now be on Route 25.
9. Defeat only the bottom trainer, the 2nd from the left.
10. Remember to save your game.
11. Return to the grass field to the left of Nugget Bridge.
12. Position your character in a way that they are directly facing the trainer you avoided earlier, but ensure the trainer is just out of the screen's reach.
13. Move down one square and simultaneously press the START button.
14. The menu should appear, even though the trainer can see you.
15. Use Abra again to teleport to your last Pokémon Center.
16. Return from the Pokémon Center to Nugget Bridge, but this time, after crossing the bridge, go to the right.
17. You should now be on Route 25.
18. Defeat the top trainer, the 3rd from the right, but if you challenge him, make sure he sees you at the highest point on the screen possible, while facing right.
19. Use Abra once more to teleport to your last Pokémon Center.
20. Walk onto Nugget Bridge.
21. The menu screen should appear halfway across Nugget Bridge.
