And since Boss in Own Forest was only released in 2006, it is exceptionally well-optimized, making the icing on the cake even better with great music. It truly sounds like an MP3 is being played instead of some random tunes from a computer chip. I'm so glad I found this game after all these years.
Even details in the animations are excellent; cars that you climb over at the beginning of the game actually bounce depending on where you are; backward, downward, or forward.
Some impressive things I've noticed: transparent water, moving clouds in the background, beautiful forest sounds with chirping birds, rain, smooth animations... you name it.
Just like in the movie, the story revolves around Boog, a real city bear, trying to find his way back to his luxury life after ending up in a forest. Hunters and wild animals have their eyes on Boog, so the game is packed with action from start to finish.
The worst aspect of this game is that there are "only" six levels, just over an hour's worth. So take your time, look around carefully, and enjoy all the details. The flip side is that Boss in Own Forest is fun to play again.
Additionally, the music, although rich in sound, can sometimes be repetitive.
Nevertheless, this game is so beautiful and so polished that I recommend everyone to get it. Especially because it's still not well-known to the general public, and therefore it's dirt cheap.
So... put on your Timberlands, don a fur coat, and immerse yourself in the world of Boog with Boss in Own Forest on the Game Boy Advance!
