The first Golden Sun was fantastic, and the sequel brings even more of the good stuff!
The Lost Age is a direct sequel to Golden Sun for the Game Boy Advance. So, definitely don't start this game before you've played the first one! You will understand little to nothing of what is happening.

If you are already familiar with the first Golden Sun, then The Lost Age seamlessly continues from there. However, there's a twist: the playable characters are no longer the ones from the first game right from the start. You now play as the antagonists!

This leads to a unique way of story development. You begin to question the assumed truths from the first game and understand the viewpoints of the opposing side. I was very impressed by this.

Later in the story, both parties meet, and that's when it gets really interesting!

The game itself is graphically and mechanically almost identical to the first game. But:
- it's bigger
- there's more psynergy
- there are more djinni
- there are more locations
- there are more fantastic puzzles
- there are more enemies
- you can explore almost the entire world map

In almost every aspect, it's better than the first game and that's why it's my favorite of the two. But in reality, both games belong together. I can't bring myself to replay just one of the two games because they form one big whole.

Best GBA game!
First play Golden Sun part 1 and then Golden Sun: The Lost Age. The story is the best story ever in an RPG, but the story continues where part 1 left off.

In part 2, there are a lot of puzzles, many monsters, numerous dungeons, impressive graphics, awesome Djinn, and a vast World!

The gameplay with the choice of 4 types of attacks (normal, special, psynergy, and Djinn) is very enjoyable. Especially because you can create combos with the different elements, you'll have a great time expanding your team.

You couldn't wish for a better sequel
There are plenty of great RPGs to be found on the GBA such as Breath of Fire, Pokemon Ruby / Sapphire, Tactics Ogre, and Lunar Legend. However, Golden Sun: The Lost Age takes the crown with this fantastic sequel to the first installment.

This game features notable improvements: longer quests, even better gameplay, and stunning visuals.

Usually, the storylines of RPGs aren't particularly captivating. But this title truly excels in every aspect, including the storyline. Look no further, you can't buy a better game for the GBA!
