Enchanting and Colourful Platform Experience in Agrabah
Disney’s Aladdin for the Nintendo Game Boy Color is a platform game that takes you on an enchanting adventure through the world of Agrabah. Based on the popular animated film, the game offers a colourful and vibrant experience with well-designed levels. For me, it perfectly captures the magical atmosphere of the film, making you truly feel like you’re stepping into Aladdin’s world.

The gameplay is what you’d expect from a classic platformer, offering a mix of collecting items, fighting enemies, and solving puzzles. You play as Aladdin, who runs and jumps through the various levels with his acrobatic skills. There’s a lovely variety of themes, such as bustling markets, royal palaces, and the dangerous Cave of Wonders. The controls are generally smooth and intuitive, though you sometimes need to time your jumps well to succeed!

Graphically, Disney’s Aladdin Color is one of the prettier titles on the Game Boy Color, with vibrant sprites and detailed backgrounds. The music is also enjoyable, featuring catchy tunes that fans of the film will surely appreciate. One of the highlights for me is the variety in gameplay mechanics, such as using Aladdin’s sword, collecting apples to fight enemies, and interactively solving some puzzles. Although the difficulty can sometimes fluctuate, it remains generally accessible and fun for both young players and adult fans of the film. All in all, Disney’s Aladdin Color for the Nintendo GBA is a delightful and nostalgic experience that I would definitely recommend to both fans of the film and platform enthusiasts.

The best Disney platformer to date!
Disney's Aladdin Color is in my opinion one of the best Disney platformers ever made. However, with the Game Boy Color version, some sacrifices had to be made compared to the SNES version of the game.

Although Disney's Aladdin Color is indeed one of the best Disney platformers ever, the game does make many compromises due to being playable on the Game Boy Color. The screen is very small, and enemies in the distance can sometimes be difficult to see.

Despite this, Disney's Aladdin Color is by far the best Disney platformer on the Game Boy Color. I admire how certain elements have still managed to make it to the Game Boy Color port.

In conclusion, do I recommend Disney's Aladdin Color? Absolutely! Even though the game had to make significant compromises for the port, it's truly impressive how Disney managed to bring their great game to the Game Boy Color.
