It's truly an exciting experience on this old handheld! The fact that they managed to translate this iconic survival horror series to such an old device is impressive in itself. You play as Edward Carnby or Aline Cedrac (two characters, bonus!) and dive into a mysterious adventure on a remote island. Alone in the Dark: The New Nightmare is packed with puzzles and dangers. The atmosphere is absolutely top-notch, with the dark, tense setting making you feel like you always need to be on your guard.
The combat and exploration are well structured and the puzzles keep you on your toes. It's not perfect, especially the controls are a bit clunky and that definitely hindered things during tense moments when you needed to react quickly. But for fans of adventure and horror, this is a must-play! You don't get many experiences like this on this handheld.
