Improved gameplay and dinosaur assistance make this sequel more enjoyable!
I can recommend Adventure Island II much more than the first one!
The successor to the first game features improved gameplay and more variety. The game once again follows Master Higgins as he travels through different worlds to rescue his beloved (it's always something with those loved ones), but this time you get the help of a dinosaur (hooray!). It's not just COOL, because hey, DINOSAUR!, but it also adds new gameplay elements. There are also new weapons and power-ups available, making the gameplay more dynamic than in the first installment.
My biggest complaint about the first game, that the controls weren't always precise, has been significantly improved here. Although it’s still a classic platformer, this one offers much more variety and challenges with refined controls, making it a more engaging experience than the original. It does remain a bit repetitive, but it's a fun option for fans of retro platformers and much better than the first.
